MEREDITH PRESCOTT DELONGPRE -

40 year old wife of August and mother of his four, soon to be five, children. Teaches English Literature at the university. In her youth, she was quite the liar and a pro at scheming and manipulation. Once she finally landed August, she changed her deceitful ways. She may need to use some of her old skills when a secret from her past threatens her future. Her four children are away at boarding schools around the globe.

RACHEL DELONGPRE ONTKEEN-

16 year old daughter of Pamela and Edmund Ontkeen, Pamela's second husband. Very naive and quite beautiful, loves horses and plays the piano. A sophomore at Harrington Hall, an exclusive prep school in Persephone Pointe. Very close to her mother, but is quite unaware of her machinations. Becomes friends with Saga and is unaware of Saga's scheming against her.

JENNIFER EMERY ORIGEN-

40 year old wife of Quentin Origen and mother of two sons and a daughter, Briggs Emery, and Chapin (who is away at boarding school). Was August DeLongpre's first love and the woman he would have married if Meredith wouldn�t have interfered. Was Meredith's college roommate and good friend, but the two haven't spoken since college. Is best friends with Claudia Eglasca.

QUENTIN ORIGEN-

41 year old husband of Jennifer. Father of Briggs, Emery and Chapin. Vice-President in Charge of Operations at DeLongpre Enterprises. Got his position through backstabbing and deception. Hooks up with Pamela and the two begin a torrid and scandalous affair based on animal attraction and a desire to control DeLongpre Enterprises. Has been friends with Brian since college. Dismisses August as nothing more than a spineless jellyfish who could never be as smart as he is.

BRIGGS ORIGEN-

17 year old son of Jennifer and Quentin. Handsome, very athletic and smart. A senior at Harrington Hall. Best friends with Ian Montgomery. Becomes involved with Rachel and is unaware of Saga's real feelings for him.

EMERY ORIGEN-

16 year old son of Jennifer and Quentin. Lives in the shadow of his brother, Briggs, and resents it, which forces him into always trying to undermine his brother. Would love to date Rachel, unfortunately his brother beats him to it. Will join forces with Saga to ruin his brother and Rachel's relationship.

VICTORIA EMERY-

26 year old sister of Jennifer. Works for Thad and Porter at "Chocolate Bar." Recently started sleeping with Thad, has a known reputation in town.

PORTER DANDRIDGE-

27 year old best friend of Thad DeLongpre and engaged to Thad's sister Katherine. Has been friends with Thad since boarding school. Went into business together after Thad returned to Persephone Pointe. Finished law school about 3 years ago, but has had trouble passing the bar. So he's taken a break from it to run the Chocolate Bar with Thad.

BAIN ROBERTS-

A 25 year old man who comes to Persephone Pointe looking for his past. He is very attractive and quite the charmer. He was adopted by a loving and powerful family, but they didn't tell him that he was adopted. He recently discovered this, and thinking that his whole life hasbeen a lie, left everything he knew, to search for his past.

CLAUDIA EGLASCA-

35 year old, African-American, DeLongpre housekeeper. Widowed with a 16 year old daughter named Saga and an 11 year old son named Ben. Loyal, trusted and knows where the bones are buried. Husband died five years ago. Very beautiful and very lonely.

SAGA EGLASCA-

16 year old bi-racial daughter of Claudia and John. Though bi-racial, Saga, has no African-American features and to someone who didn't know of her background would assume she was Caucasian. Received a scholarship to Harrington Hall after her father passed away. Hates that her mother is a housekeeper and is determined to have better life, no matter what she has to do to get it.

LESLIE JACKSON MONTGOMERY-

39 year old African-American District Attorney. She's married to Brian and has a 16 year old son named Ian. Her mother, Priscilla (Priss) was the DeLongpre housekeeper until her death five years ago. On her deathbed, Priss made a startling confession to Leslie that she has kept a secret, until now.

BRIAN MONTGOMERY-

40 year old African-American doctor from Connecticut. Married to Leslie and father of Ian. Would like to have more kids, but Leslie has nixed the idea. His wife becomes preoccupied with her career and other matters and slowly begins to ignore the marriage. Best friends and golfing partner of Quentin Origen.

17 year old son of Leslie and Brian. Best friend of Briggs . Athletic, outgoing and well liked. Has developed feelings for Saga.
